Last night, I wanted to test my growing confidence. But midnight came and went as we sat peacefully in the dark yard, our heads nodding. Then we said good night.
This morning, hearing you on your zoom, laughing with friends, I want to blame you for my unease, my unmet yearning for wholeness.
Instead of swatting the gathering horseflies, I have come to visit sunshine. With naked feet, I sit again in the front yard chair.
