I bought the last fan—
London sheds sweaty woollens
Hyde Park worships
were you shunned or I
long long silence of regret—
sit here by the fire
you greet me in verse
strange newness of still morning—
love waits to pounce
disappointment
dodging around the corner—
shy or embarrassed
bite-sized miracles—
sumaho pocket collection
of meditations
sumaho=smartphone
hungry for so long
sheddings of banquet remain—
regret-less fasting
almost September
farting motorbike, bird call—
stillness persists
tree-perched insects sing
to distant traffic humming—
summer city concert
summer storm lasts all day
the pond catches each raindrop—
expect flooding tonight
a branch of elm leaves
filters afternoon sunlight—
dappled desktop
lightning arcs
thunder heralds the storm!
Awake for the rain.
One last August breeze …
Lamps illuminate corners
Gentle twilight clouds
I compose as I walk
verses seem to distract me
—doodle yanks me back
Blown inside out—
My umbrella now gathers
what head-downers miss
